Privacy policy

If you use the contact form or write to us, we receive the details you give: your name, e-mail address and, if you add them, telephone number, type of project, location and your message.

We use them only to answer you and, if you wish, to prepare and carry out an assignment. The legal basis is steps taken at your request before entering into a contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)) and our legitimate interest in replying to enquiries (Art. 6(1)(f)).

Enquiries that do not lead to an assignment are deleted no later than 24 months after our last contact. For clients, the information is kept for as long as the assignment requires, and accounting records for as long as Swedish bookkeeping law requires.

Like every website, the server that delivers the pages automatically records technical information - IP address, date and time, the page requested and the type of browser - in order to deliver the site and protect it against misuse. This is based on our legitimate interest in running a secure website (Art. 6(1)(f)). The logs are kept for a limited period by our hosting provider and then deleted.

We use no cookies, no analytics and no advertising or social media tracking. Fonts, photographs and films are served from our own server, so browsing the site sends nothing to third parties. No cookie banner is needed for that reason.

Our hosting provider, SiteGround, and our e-mail provider process data on our behalf under data processing agreements. We never sell personal data or share it for marketing. If data is processed outside the EU/EEA, it is protected by appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.

You have the right to request access to the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to its processing, and to receive it in a portable format. Write to oscar@oscarnystrom.com and we will reply within one month.

You may also lodge a complaint with the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY, imy.se) or with the data protection authority where you live, such as the CNIL in France.
