Royal Mansour

A medina within the medina: a palace of private riads behind the walls of Marrakech, opened in 2010.

Here the craftsmanship is the architecture, so the light had to serve it without competing. Carved plaster, brass and fabric are lit from within the room itself, and the terraces are left to the city and the night sky.
